Vincent E. “Pappy” Panei Jr.
Vincent E. “Pappy” Panei Jr., 77, of Renfrew passed away Monday evening at his residence.
He was born June 19, 1941, in Boyers, and was a son of the late Vincent Panei Sr. and Adeline FaJohn Panei.
He was a supervisor at Butler Armco, retiring in 2004 after 34 years of service.
Vince was a devout member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and the choir.
He enjoyed golfing with friends and family. He was an enthusiastic angler and especially loved fishing excursions with his sons in Canada.
Vince was a member of the Sunset Golf League, William H. Miller Lodge 769 F&AM Masonic Lodge, Condor Aero Club and the Casino Bowling League.
He is survived by his wife, Carol J. “Dolly” Panei, whom he married April 8, 1961; three children, Jim (Debbie) Panei, Lisa (Lorenz) Panei-Werhane and Tom (Stacy) Panei; one sister, Patty (Bill) Fay; one brother, Richard; four grandchildren, Jocelyn (Brian) Rollinger, Jared (Brittany) Panei, Joshua (Elisabeth) Panei and Luca Panei; three step-grandchildren, Alex, Madeline and Veronica Werhane; and six great-grandchildren, Chloe, Taylor, Markie, Dante, Ava and Olivia.
PANEI — Friends of Vincent E. “Pappy” Panei Jr., who died Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N.
