Thomas E. “Tom” Shaw Jr.
Thomas E. “Tom” Shaw Jr., 79, of Mars passed away on Tuesday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born May 24, 1939, in Johnstown, he was the son of the late Thomas E. Shaw Sr. and Ethyle Pink Shaw Steinke.
Tom was the owner of Shaw's Heating and Cooling and At Your Service, Ltd. in Mars.
He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union.
Tom had served for five years in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member, elder and Sunday school teacher at Mars Alliance Church, now LifePointe Alliance Church, for many years and had also participated in Bible studies in Mars.
Surviving are his wife, Freda A. Buzard Shaw, whom he married on Sept. 5, 1964; two daughters, Heather (David) Schettler and Holly (Steven) Bradley; a son, Thomas Eric (Joeylynn) Shaw Sr., all of Mars; his grandchildren, Amber, Ryan, Jason, Olivia, Darin, Brian, Shannon, Kelly, Tommy and Andrew; and two brothers, John “Jack” (Judi) Shaw of Butler, and Charles E. (Mary) Steinke Jr. of Mars.
SHAW — Friends of Thomas E. “Tom” Shaw Jr., who died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, will be received from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at LifePointe Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars, where services will begin at 11 a.m. The Rev.
