Grace Gearhart Smith, 85, of Prospect peacefully passed away with her husband by her side Wednesday in the Memory Care Unit at New Haven Court in Butler.

Born March 18, 1933, in Rural Valley, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Charles and Hazel Pearl Wilhelm Gearhart.

Along with her husband, she was in the Gold Wing Motorcycle Association Chapter D in Butler, Mopars in the Park Pentastar Car Club in Rural Valley, and the BASMA, Butler Area Street Machine Association.

She enjoyed car shows, canning from her garden with her niece, quilting, knitting and collecting tea cups. She loved listening to Country Western music and playing the organ.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ronald Dean Smith, whom she married Aug. 31, 1962; two brothers, Albert (Shirley) Gearhart and Dale (Evelyn) Gearhart, all of Cherry Run, Pa.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother.

SMITH — Visitation for Grace Gearhart Smith, who died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect.A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the mausoleum at Greenlawn Burial Estates in Butler with the Rev.
