Robert G. Binga

Robert G. Binga, 60, of Lehigh Acres, Fla., formerly of Butler and Buffalo, N.Y., passed away Sunday.

Born March 23, 1958, in Buffalo, N.Y., he was the son of the late Gordon S. and Loretta Kluczynski Binga.

He proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine after leaving high school, with tours of duty in Korea and Japan.

He worked for many years as a garage door service technician before retiring, due to illness.

He loved sports, especially hockey, and cheered for all Pittsburgh and Buffalo teams.

He began his journey on May 29, 2004, with his beloved wife, Sherry, who survives him.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Benjamin; one daughter, Abigail; his sister, Deborah, who adored him and whom he adored; and his sister, Janice (Ken) Schaefer.

Also surviving are his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Carol Osgood; his brother-in-law, Eric Osgood, and his partner, Val Claypool; his nieces, Ashley, Andrea, Ashley, Nicole, Kayleigh and Kirstin; and a nephew, Mathew.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael, with whom he also had a very special bond.

BINGA — There will be no visitation for Robert G. Binga, who died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
