Charles Denny Klingensmith
Charles Denny Klingensmith, 77, of Emlenton, passed away Friday at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.
He was born May 7, 1941, in Leechburg, to Charles S. and Mabel Hagen Klingensmith.
He graduated from California University of Pennsylvania and taught industrial arts at Allegheny-Clarion Valley Schools for 30 years, retiring in 1993.
He was a subcontractor for Sonneborn, formerly Witco, for many years. He also worked for several other businesses in the Petrolia area.
Denny is survived by his wife, JoAnne. The couple celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in August.
Also surviving are two children, Tim Klingensmith and his wife, Chrissy, of Glen Mills, and Denise Kornbau of Wexford; five grandchildren, Sydney, Serena and Sage Klingensmith and Seth and Nathaniel Kornbau; his brother, Dave Klingensmith and his wife, Barb, of Leechburg; his brothers-in-law, Don Lemmon and his wife, Kathy, of Oregon and Dean Crissman; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister-in-law, Glee Crissman.
