Irene F. DeBacco, 90, of Rimersburg passed away Wednesday at ACMH Hospital.

She was born March 26, 1928, in Monark, Pa., the daughter of Michael and Angeline (Mohr) Anthony.

Irene lived in Rimersburg most of her life, and at age 17 worked as a dishwasher at Baldy's Diner in Clarion. She began working as an inspector for Owens Illinois Glass Co. at age 18, and remained there for 47 years, retiring in 1993.

Irene was a member of St. Richard Roman Catholic Church in Rimersburg and enjoyed crafting. She was gifted at crocheting and making doilies. Irene used her gift to make doilies to benefit her church and her family reunion.

Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband, John A. DeBacco, whom she married Sept. 28, 1968; her nephew, Charles Michael Anthony of Strattanville, Pa.; and her niece, Barbara Jackson of Clarion.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Joseph Frank Anthony and Michael Anthony; and a sister, Evelyn Eisenhuth.

DEBACCO — Relatives and friends of Irene F. DeBacco, who died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 758 Main St., Rimersburg.The funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Richard Roman Catholic Church, Purity Avenue, Rimersburg, with the Rev.
