Helen M. Schmeider
Helen M. Schmeider, 85, of Cabot passed away on Friday at the Elmcroft of Saxonburg.
Born Feb. 9, 1933, in Clinton Township, she was the daughter of Albert Lasick and Mary Provo Lasick.
Helen worked as a picker for Moonlight Mushroom Farm. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers; Order of the Eastern Star; Saxonburg VFW Auxiliary; Saxonburg American Legion Auxiliary; and Cabot A&R. She loved cooking, gardening, flowers and volunteering.
Surviving are her children, Joseph J. (Vikkie) Schmeider Jr. of Cabot, Judy Schmeider of the Netherlands, Joyce (Mark) Sleeper of Lake Wylie, S.C., Jeffrey Schmeider of Cabot, and Jarod Schmeider of Aurora, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph Schmeider, and 12 brothers and sisters.
SCHMEIDER — Friends of Helen M. Schmeider, who died Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, Saxonburg,Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church.Interment will follow in St. Luke Cemetery, Cabot.Memorial donations may be made to the any organization for Parkinson's disease.
