Allen D. 'Deter' Sasse

Allen D. “Deter” Sasse, 83, of Cabot passed away Oct. 19 at the Saxony Health Center.

Born May 7, 1935, in Winfield Township, he was the son of Paul Sasse and Kathryn Savage Sasse.

Deter was retired from Penn-Dixie Cement as a general mill foreman.

He was a Mason and a member of the Syria Shrine.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelersfan.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley (Logan) Sasse of Cabot; two sons, Ronald (Debbie) Sasse of Sarver, and Russell (Joyce) Sasse of Worthington;two daughters, Diane Mahan of Saxonburg, and Kathleen Kelley of Saxonburg;two sisters, Mary Sims of Butler, and Peggy Crouch of Worthington; his brother, Gary Sasse of Sarver;eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents;two daughters, Deborah Sasse and Kimberly Sasse;two sisters, Marie Burrows and Carol Tosi; and two grandchildren.
