Alex J. Erdos
Alex J. Erdos, age 62, of Butler, passed away Sunday while under the care of VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born Feb. 10, 1956, in Butler, he was the son of the late Alex and Bernice (McNamee) Erdos.
Alex was the owner-operator of West Penn Cycles, and he had been employed by International Staple for 28 years.
He was member at American Legion Post 778 in Lyndora. Alex loved riding his motorcycle.
Friendship was important to Alex, and he was a well-liked friend to many and enjoyed spending the weekends with family and friends. He especially enjoyed going to the family camp.
Alex was determined to overcome his cancer. All who knew Alex know he fought to the bitter end.
He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Alex leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Georgeann Goss Erdos of Butler, whom he married Nov. 5, 2010; his sons, Jason and Chad Erdos; his grandsons, Ashton and Jordan Erdos; his brothers, William (Vanda) Erdos and James Erdos; his sister-in-law, Theresa (Ted) Czyzyk; his brother-in-law, Anthony (Lori) Goss; his first wife of 34 years and good friend, Marsha (Tom) Bellaji; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Alex was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Erdos; his sister, Beverly Sebock; and his sister-in-law, Retta Erdos.
