David E. “Bo” Voelker

David E. “Bo” Voelker, 58, of Butler passed away peacefully Tuesday evening at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born June 21, 1960, in Butler, he was a son of the late Norman Voelker Sr. and the late Sara (Campbell) Voelker.

He had worked for Penn Champ in East Butler and was a former member of the Italian Club and the French and Belgium Club.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Surviving are his devoted partner of 23 years, Deborah Williams, and her children, Shane Leasure and his daughter, Cassidy, and Tawna Kanzler and her children, Romy and Veda; one daughter, Sharon (Christopher) Hoden of Butler; two grandchildren, Brayden and Nathan; his siblings, Barbara Radzyminski (Daniel West), Gary Voelker, Nancy (Roger) Rettig, Debbie (George) Schroth, Connie (Gary) Malinski and Norman Voelker Jr., all of Butler; his uncle, Robert Campbell; his life-long friend, Dave Chrzan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Murphy.

VOELKER — A Mass of Christian burial for David E. “Bo” Voelker, who died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. The Rev.
