Charges are pending in Nesbit DUI case
Police believe state Rep. Tedd C. Nesbit, R-8th, was driving under the influence on Saturday.
State Police with Mercer County observed Nesbit, who is 51, in a car committing traffic violations and they pulled him over. They said they determined he was under the influence but it's unclear what method was used and there was no indication of his blood alcohol level nor if that was taken.
Charges are pending and in a statement from Nesbit's office, the elected official said, “I made a mistake for which I am embarrassed and deeply sorry. It will not happen again. I intend to work hard to regain the trust of my constituents.”
Nesbit's district includes parts of Butler and Mercer counties.
