Helen Fotta

Helen (Raskovsky) Fotta, 95, of Conway passed away peacefully on Friday at Providence Care Center in Beaver Falls.

Born Dec. 17, 1922, in Ambridge, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Nemcik Raskovsky.

She married Joseph William Fotta on Aug. 16, 1947. He preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 2010.

Helen was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish in Conway.

Within her family, she was known for her cooking, baking and gardening skills. She enjoyed reading and bird watching in her backyard and spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

They will always remember her with her dirty macaroni and cheese and especially Christmas Eve dinner. Her family will cherish memories of her forever.

Her family would like to extend appreciation and gratitude to everyone at Providence Care Center for the excellent, compassionate care she received in her final moments.

Helen is survived by three daughters, Judith Pecoraro of Butler, Germaine Fotta of New Stanton, and Karen Fotta of Conway; two granddaughters and their husbands, Suzanne and Michael Fleeger, and Amanda and Nathan Rekich; and three great-grandchildren, Emily Fleeger, Tyler Rekich and Ella Rekich, all of Butler.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joseph William Fotta Jr.; her son-in-law, Dean Pecoraro; and her siblings, Sister Mary Germaine, OSF, Anna Strella, Andrew and Michal Raskovsky, Suzanne Gulik and George Raskovsky.

FOTTA — Friends of Helen (Raskovsky) Fotta, who died Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, will be received from 9 until 11 a.m. Tuesday in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge,A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.Interment will follow in Good Samaritan Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Butler Meals on Wheels or the charity of your choice.Please visit www.bohn-matich.com.
