The Butler Middle School hockey team remained undefeated by posting a 5-5 tie at McDowell in Erie Thursday night.

Brayden Povlick and Aaron Shoup had a goal and assist each for Butler. Andrew Roskovski, Carson Bish and Landon Romett also scored goals.

Tullio DiDomenico and Owen Denny had assists. Lauren LeGrand was the Butler goaltender.

The Golden Tornado (8-0-2) play North Catholiic at 8:40 p.m. Jan. 25 at the UPMC Lemieux Complex.

Basketball

The Butler Gold seventh grade boys team dropped a 43-20 decision to Deer Lakes. Andrew Bellis scored six points and had four assists for Butler while Ben Miller had four points and five rebounds.
