Gertrude F. Zima

Gertrude F. Zima, 89, of Butler passed away Wednesday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born May 21, 1929, in Lyndora, she was a daughter of the late Frolis and Mary Brovnyak Miklosovic.

She was employed by International Staple as a bookkeeper in the accounts receivable department for 25 years. She had previously worked for Howard Insurance Agency.

She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler, a former member of Phase II group of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. She also was a volunteer at the Butler Veterans Administration Medical Center for 35 years.

Surviving are her son, Ric Zima of Huntington, W.Va.; two daughters, Debby (Gary) Churella of Chester, W.Va., and Sandi (Steve) Parker of Phoenixville, Pa.; two grandchildren, Tim Zima and Vicki (Andrew) Hormann; three great-grandchildren, Abigail Zima, Adeline Hormann and Nora Hormann; and three sisters, Flo Grinnik of Meridian, Mary Lou Miklosovic of Butler, and Rose (Dave) Dackor of Alliance, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Miklosovic, and a sister, Margaret Yossa.

ZIMA — Visitation for Gertrude F. Zima, who died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, will be private for her family.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Calvary Cemetery.Arrangements were entrusted to Geibel Funeral Home of Butler.Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N.
