Larry E. Gregg

Larry E. Gregg, 74, of Butler, passed away at his residence on Friday.

He was born March 17, 1944, in Butler, to the late Floyd E. Gregg and the late Ida Ditmore Gregg.

Larry was self-employed in auto sales.

He served in the Army National Guard.

Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, but especially loved being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also liked spending time with his friends, especially Ron, at the “local watering holes.”

He is survived by his son, Michael Gregg of Butler; daughter, Tracy Gregg Olson and her husband, David, of Chicora; two stepsons, Jim Simons of Goose Creek, S.C., and Dan Toomey of Butler; stepdaughter, Kim Toomey Saeler; four grandchildren, Justin Olson, Katelyn Olson, Lindsey Olson, and Alex Gregg; five great-grandchildren, Austin Olson, Cayden Puglisi, Cameron Puglisi, Laken Kanzler, and Laynee Saeler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Kelsey Lauren Gregg and Jessica Saeler; two brothers, Charles R. Gregg and Richard Gregg; and one sister, Erla Gregg Sholtis.

GREGG — Friends of Larry E. Gregg, who died Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be held immediately following at 8 p.m. at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, with Deacon Mitch Natali officiating.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
