Police: Intoxicated woman kicked arresting officer
BUTLER TWP — An intoxicated woman found passed out in the middle of a road, authorities said, made matters worse for herself when she allegedly kicked a police officer.
Robin D. Hecker, 57, of Lyndora is facing felony assault and other charges stemming from the weekend incident.
Butler Township police said they found Hecker around 9:45 p.m. Friday lying in the middle of Penn Avenue and Chesapeake Street. She was unresponsive or sleeping.
Officers yelled at her until she awakened, according to a police report. They believed she had too much to drink.
While the officers took her from the road, Hecker allegedly became argumentative with them and a Butler Ambulance Service crew that was called to assist.
She subsequently kicked an officer, the report said, and tried to get out of a pair of handcuffs before being placed in a cruiser.
Hecker was taken to Butler County Prison and arraigned Saturday on a felony charge of aggravated assault, a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct and a summary charge of public drunkenness.
She is free on her own recognizance while awaiting a preliminary hearing Feb. 28.
