Domestic-violence victim asks court to lift no-contact order against accused attacker

Bruce Lee Stennett, 30 of Butler

A domestic-violence victim asked the court Friday to lift a no-contact condition with the accused attacker — her 30-year-old boyfriend, Bruce Lee Stennett of Butler.

Police arrested Stennett Jan. 9 after the bludgeoned girlfriend told police that she was slapped “so hard” that her hearing aid and glasses were broken from the three impacts to her face. Stennett faces charges of terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, simple assault, harassment and public drunkenness. He has not admitted guilt.

The victim allegedly told police that the attack wasn't the first time her boyfriend was physical with her. On Friday, the victim told Jude Timothy McCune that she wasn't afraid of Stennett and she wanted the no-contact condition on his bond to be removed. Looking at the police report, McCune said “it contains an allegation of a pretty violent incident.”
