Local Lions Club honors Ryan Gloyer Middle School students
CRANBERRY TWP — Students from Ryan Gloyer Middle School were recently honored for their work by the Cranberry Lions Club.
Students Anna Jaeck, Ben Grewar and Maggie Monahan were given their awards during a Service, Effort and Initiative ceremony at the Feb. 26 club meeting.
The club has the ceremonies twice annually to recognize top Seneca Valley honor students from Ryan Gloyer Middle School.
Each student received a $50 Barnes and Noble gift card, a certificate of recognition, and a Lions pen for their outstanding achievements.
These three students represented “student of the month” for October through December.
Anna was accompanied by her parents Justin and Jolene, along with her grandmother Donna. Ben was accompanied by his parents Peter and Lisa. Maggie was accompanied by her parents Kevin and Jenny.
Also in attendance were assistant principals Rob Raso and Tricia Butschle and guidance counselors Jennifer North, Tammie Limmer and LaVarr Stephens-Howling.
The next SEI Night ceremony is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. May 28 at the Northpark Lounge Deckhouse. Top seventh-grade students from Ryan Gloyer Middle School will be honored and recognized.
The Lions Club meets the second and fourth Tuesdays each month, with the exceptions of July, August and December.
