Gloria J. Nicholson
Gloria J. Nicholson, 87, formerly of Slippery Rock passed away on Monday while under the care of Orchard Manor in Grove City where she was a resident.
Born Aug. 10, 1931, in West View, she was the daughter of the late Ralph David Arnold and Charlotte Gangwisch Arnold.
Gloria was a former member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Hilliards.
She co-owned and operated both Irvine Tire and Nicholson Boat Sales and Storage.
She enjoyed bowling, puzzles, baking, dancing, bingo, stock car racing, gardening, and watching football and hockey.
Gloria leaves behind to cherish her memory her four daughters, Bonnie Burgard of New Castle, JoAnn (Dennis) Paris of Cranberry Township, Sherry (Randy) Bennett of Zelienople, and Bobbi (Teddie) Krajewski of Hilliards; two stepdaughters, Janet (Jim) Mountain of the North Hills, and Linda Daniels of Pittsburgh; a brother, Earl Arnold of Las Vegas; and a sister, Doris Mae Nacey of Gibsonia.
She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Irvine; her second husband, William T. Nicholson Jr.; her son, James Irvine; two stepsons, Norman and Scott Nicholson; and a stepdaughter, Amy Schuring.
NICHOLSON — The family of Gloria J. Nicholson, who died Monday, Feb. 18, 2019, will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E.
