Haysel J. Brown

Haysel J. Brown, 94, formerly of Moose Road, Renfrew, died Saturday in Perrysburg, Ohio.

Born June 1, 1924, near Bremen, Ohio, she was the daughter of Milo and Elsie (Crook) Poling.

Haysel graduated from Bremen High School in 1942, and later from Bliss Business College.

She was the wife of the late Harold C. Brown “Brownie,” who had worked at Armco Steel and retired in 1979 as superintendent of the stainless steel department.

Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and an executive secretary.

She was a member of Connoquenessing United Methodist Church and also volunteered for Butler Meals on Wheels.

An avid golfer, she was a member of Armco Country Club.

She is survived by four daughters, Linda Brown of Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Mark (Bonnie) Bennion of Perrysburg, Ohio, Mrs. Robert (Marsha) Dixon of Richmond, Va., and Patti Brown of Clarksburg, Md.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

BROWN — A memorial service for Haysel J. Brown, who died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, is planned for May in Connoquenessing.She will be buried alongside her husband in Butler County Memorial Park.Arrangements are being handled by Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
