Three flown to Pittsburgh hospitals following weekend crash on Old Route 422
Three people were flown to Pittsburgh hospitals following an early Saturday morning, one-vehicle crash on Old Route 422 in Franklin Township that resulted in two of the three being ejected from the vehicle.
Michael J. Hilliard, 38, of Butler was flown to Allegheny General Hospital for serious injuries after being thrown from his SUV, according to a police report. He was listed in fair and stable condition at Allegheny General Hospital as of Sunday evening, according to hospital staff.
One of his two passengers, Bett McCandless-Meadows, 44, of Slippery Rock was also thrown from the vehicle and flown to UPMC Presbyterian with serious injuries. She remained in the ICU as of Sunday, an operator at the hospital said. A second passenger, Kenneth Kline, 46, of Butler, sustained minor injuries but was not ejected from the vehicle. He was treated and released at UPMC Presbyterian.
