Beginning on May 28, portions of State Route 308 in Butler County will be restricted to one lane to facilitate road repairs. PennDOT officials said the work will continue, weather permitting, through the end of August.

The alternating traffic on the single lane will be directed by flaggers.

Crews will repair the road surface, upgrade guardrails and perform other miscellaneous construction during the restriction.

PennDOT urges motorists to slow down and exercise caution in construction areas and obey flaggers and traffic-control devices.

The Route 308 work depends on weather factors.
