Wayne Walliser
Wayne Walliser, 75, of Butler passed away on March 28 at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.
He was born in Bellevue and was a son of the late Leonard C. and Edythe (Kitzman) Walliser.
He worked for AK Steel in Butler, retiring in 2003.
Wayne married Judith Wick on Dec. 23, 1966. They were married for 52 years.
Wayne was a 1962 graduate of North Hills High School. He then attended IUP, graduating with a degree in music education.
He was known for singing with the Notables Barber Shop Chorus, and also playing piano and the organ.
He was the past exalted ruler of the Butler Elks 170.
Being a proud Eagle Scout and being awarded the God and Country award, he also was the former assistant scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 16.
Along with his wife, Judy, Wayne is survived by his two sons, Christopher and Charles Walliser, both of Butler; one sister, Judith Stack of Florida; and one sister-in-law, Nancy Wick, and her husband, Maurice Warner.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by one sister, Janice Lappe.
