Man arrested after pointing a gun at woman and toddler
A Fairview Township man is accused of brandishing a semi-automatic rifle and pointing it toward a young woman and a 2-year-old girl at his home on Route 268.
State police say the defendant, Mark E. Miller, 34, was “highly intoxicated” when the incident happened between 7:30 and 8:15 p.m. Friday during a domestic dispute on the 1200 block of Route 268, also known as Kittanning Pike.
No injuries were reported. Authorities did not identify the 22-year-old woman, but did report that she and the girl are both from Chicora.
Police arrested Miller on charges that included reckless endangerment, simple assault and harassment.
He was booked into the Butler County Prison about 4 a.m. Saturday and released several hours later after posting $5,000 bail.
