2:18 p.m. Friday — Philip P. Heupel, 32, of Butler allegedly exposed himself to a therapist at Butler Health Systems Family Services on North Washington Street.

Heupel is charged with indecent exposure.

Friday — Deanna M. Russo, 49, of Butler was charged with having drug contraband following a traffic stop around 12:05 a.m. May 11 on West New Castle Street near Seventh Avenue.

Russo, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was found with three empty stamp bags of the kind commonly used to hold heroin, according to court documents. The bags allegedly were in her purse.

She is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

5:31 p.m. Monday — Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 8 just south of the Picklegate Crossing. The collision occurred when a vehicle driven by Eric Butia Jr., 32, of Evans City pulled out from a stop sign and turned into the path of the other vehicle.Butia and the other driver, Tonya Black, 43, of Mars, suffered unknown injuries. Butia was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital. A private vehicle took Black to MedExpress Urgent Care.Police said the investigation continues.Monday — Christopher W. Schmidt, 41, of Butler was charged in a shoplifting incident earlier this month at the Butler Commons' Walmart. Police said he took $397.544 in merchandise from the store around 5 p.m. May 5.Schmidt is charged with a misdemeanor count of retail theft.

May 3 — Richard P. Myros, 42, of West Sunbury was charged with drunken driving in connection with an April traffic stop in Clay Township. He was stopped around 1:25 a.m. April 27 after police said he crossed the double yellow and white lines on Euclid Road near David Road.Myros allegedly showed impairment during filed sobriety testing. A breath test allegedly revealed his blood-alcohol level was 0.133 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.He is charged with driving under the influence, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.May 3 — Kirk J. Hines, 29, of Franklin Township was charged with driving on drugs and alcohol stemming from a March traffic stop in Center Township.Police said he was stopped around 8 p.m. March 17 after passing a trooper without dimming his high beams on Unionville Road near Route 8.Hines admitted that he had smoked marijuana about an hour before the stop and he had consumed alcohol earlier in the evening, according to court documents.He allegedly showed impairment during field sobriety tests, and he was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Toxicology results allegedly indicated he had cocaine in his system. His blood-alcohol level was 0.057 percent.Hines is charged with driving under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol, DUI, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving an unregistered vehicle, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and not using low beams.May 3 — Police charged Stephanie L. Hile, 45, of Chicora with drugged driving for a traffic stop last month in Chicora. She was pulled over around 3:35 p.m. at South Main Street and Medical Center Road after crossing the double yellow line and white fog line.Hile was given field sobriety tests and later taken to the barracks for an evaluation by a court-certified drug evaluation expert. Police eventually took her to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test that showed she had a “combination of controlled substances” in her system, according to court documents.In addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, she is charged with disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.

May 14 — Police charged an Ohio woman with drugged driving stemming from an incident last month at the McFarland Recreation parking lot on the Slippery Rock University campus. An officer on patrol said he found a sport utility vehicle around 9:35 p.m. April 23 in the lot’s back corner with its lights on and people inside.Zoe E. Roman, 21, of Masury, Ohio, and two occupants admitted they had been smoking marijuana, according to court documents. Police identified the defendant as the driver and owner of the SUV.A search of the vehicle allegedly turned up small amounts of marijuana and drug contraband in the center console and glove box. Police took Roman to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, which confirmed she had marijuana in her system, documents said.She is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
