Flooding closes roads, damages homes in northern Butler County
BRUIN - Flash flooding closed several roads in northern Butler County on Sunday.
As a result of the flood, the Bruin Volunteer Fire Department, located at 100 Firehouse Drive, set up a temporary shelter for people who have been impacted by the rain and flood waters, said Bob Hackbarth, president.
PennDOT is on the way to assist with the roads. Red Cross will be at the shelter if people need their services.
Washington Road is open to a single lane of travel. Motorists are advised to travel with caution on the Kittanning Pike, and Queenstown Road is closed.
