Bob Grimm, 75, of Butler, enjoyed the classic car show during the 138th annual Concordia Lutheran Ministries Summer Festival on Sunday, July 28, 2019. Grimm, a rehab patient at the Cabot facility, took in the show with his friend, Don Saeler, also from Butler. Hundreds attended the free event held in the back yard of Lund Care Center. In addition to a traditional worship service and open house, the event featured a picnic, music from the Pittsburgh Doo Wop Big Band and kids activities, including a fishing derby, arts and crafts, and a bounce castle.

Emily and Troy Beham, both 27, of East Brady took home the 2019 Anything that Floats race award for fastest time on Sunday, July 28, 2019, in East Brady. The family-fun event was part of the final day of the 34th annual Riverfest, which celebrates life along the Allegheny River. The Allegheny Alligator took home the award for “Most Creative” in the 2019 Anything that Floats race on Sunday, July 28, 2019, in East Brady. The family-fun event was part of the final day of the 34th annual Riverfest, which celebrates life along the Allegheny River. All the homemade “vessels” were creative — using items like barrels and 2x4’s such as the catamaran-styled boat created by David Markel and his crew. Markel, who was steering the boat, was joined by friends and family, including (from front) Jake Twerdok, 15; Abby Crawley, 19; Anna Oschlick, 22; and Luke Twerdok. Markel joked that the design was partly inspired by the recent alligators on the loose in Allegheny County.Andie Hannon/Butler Eagle
