Tourism bureau selling downtown Butler lot
The Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau is hoping a business that would become part of the county's tourism industry will buy a two-lot parcel it is selling on North Main Street in downtown Butler.
The bureau bought the empty lot, where Worsley's House of Color once stood at 157-161 N. Main St., last year for $199,000.
The bureau bought the commercially zoned property after the remains of the Worsley building, which was heavily damaged in a fire in March 2016, were removed.
Worsley's House of Color, which sold paint and wallpaper, operated in the building from 1963 until it closed in 2014.
A “Buildable lot for Sale” sign was recently placed on the lot.
