Two New Kensington resident flown to hospital after Saturday accident
Two New Kensington residents were taken by helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital after a motorcycle wreck that involved a farm tractor at 4:19 p.m. Saturday on Route 19 between Harlansburg and Portersville just before Shady Trail in Slippery Rock Township in Lawrence County.
Richard Arbuckle, 57, was driving the Indian motorcycle with his passenger Diana Arbuckle, 51, said a spokesman with the Pennsylvania State Police in Lawrence County.
Warren Enscoe, 45, of Portersville was driving the John Deere tractor, state police reported.
The farm tractor that was hauling a bailer was making a left turn into a driveway and “did have a turn signal and flashers on, per witnesses on the scene,” said Chief Charles Peak of the Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Department of Lawrence County.
Route 19 was closed for about 45 minutes because of the accident, Peak said.
The extent of the Arbuckles' injuries was unknown.
