Two women pulled from vehicle after accident

Two elderly women had to be extricated from a vehicle in Evans City after the vehicle went over a retaining wall Tuesday morning.

EVANS CITY — Two women had to be extricated from a vehicle after a Tuesday morning accident on South Washington Street. Evans City/Seven Fields Regional Police Chief Joe McCombs said police removed the windshield from the vehicle to extract the women trapped in the vehicle after it went over a retaining wall and through a wooden fence in a driveway and flipped on its side.

Police said the women, both of whom were described as “elderly,” were evaluated and declined medical transport.

According to emergency dispatch radio, the scene was cleared at 11:51 a.m.
