Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., is collecting nonperishable Thanksgiving food items for the New Castle City Rescue Mission now through Nov. 3.The fall semester of the adult Seeker's Class convenes Sept. 15 through Dec. 15. The 50-minute discussion class begins at 9:45 a.m. Sundays.

East Butler Presbyterian Church, 9th and Randolph Streets, will join with North Butler Church in its sanctuary at 10:30 a.m. Sunday to dedicate a new electronic piano. A pot luck luncheon will follow. Take side dish or dessert to share.

Organist Allen Kitchen will demonstrate the features of the new piano. A congregational hymn sing will be included, and a pot luck luncheon will follow. Meat will be provided. Take a side dish or dessert to share. This is a joint service with East Butler Presbyterian.

The session of Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, is looking for people to take part in Helping Hands, a group to take care of maintenance and updating of church facilities. Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., celebrates “Back-to-Church Sunday” starting at 9 a.m. Sunday with a breakfast and fellowship time kicking off fall sessions of Sunday Small Groups.The 10 a.m. worship service will include a Blessing of the Backpacks along with special music.The Saturday Men's Bible Study starts at 7 a.m. Saturday.The Rev.
