Charges dropped in armed robbery of Subway
Eagle Staff Report
A Butler man was released from prison Tuesday after charges of armed robbery were withdrawn.
Charges were withdrawn Tuesday in Judge Lewis Stoughton’s courtroom against Ronald William Steighner Jr., 34, who was arrested and charged with armed robbery of a Subway store on Main Street Extension in August.
The felony count of armed robbery was joined by two misdemeanor counts, all three of which were withdrawn.
Assistant District Attorney Russell Karl said charges were withdrawn to continue the investigation.
