Sharon L. Hoffman Reed

Sharon L. Hoffman Reed, 66, of Mount Chestnut passed away Thursday morning unexpectedly at her residence of natural causes.

Born April 27, 1953, in Butler, she was the daughter of Margaret Chaney Hoffman and the late Eugene Hoffman.

She was a member of St. John’s Reformed Church in Butler.

Sharon was retired from the State Department. She had been a clerical secretary at different buildings in the Slippery Rock Area School District, Butler Country Welfare Office and state prisons.

She loved traveling with her mother, Margaret, and many friends. She especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren and her dog, Sunshine.

She is survived by her children, Farrah (Todd) McKinney of Cowansville, and Stefanie (Bob Dillaman) Cunningham of Butler; her two granddaughters, Sierra McKinney and Hailey Cunningham; her mother, Margaret Hoffman of Butler; her brother, Larry (Hope) Hoffman of Butler; and her nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Hoffman.

REED — Visitation for Sharon L. Hoffman Reed, who died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019, will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect.

Additional viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Reformed Church, 494 Evans City Road, Butler, with her pastor, the Rev. Jarrod Crawford officiating.

Interment will follow in St John’s Reformed Church Cemetery in Butler.
