UPDATE Summit Academy students caught after escape

SUMMIT TWP — State police have caught two students who escaped from Summit Academy Monday morning.
Police reported both boys were caught around 11 a.m. in a cornfield between Geibel and Moran roads in Summit Township.
State police were searching for two boys who were seen on Moran Road in Clearfield Township, according to police. They were reportedly wearing academy polo shirts or sweatshirts.
Authorities were notified of the sighting, prompting the Summit Academy staff in Summit Township to conduct a head count. It was then that police were contacted.
It was not immediately known when the boys ran away from the facility.
One of the boys is 17 years old. He's described as biracial, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 180 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
The other boy is 16 years old, white, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 135 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
Summit Academy on Herman Road is a private, residential program for boys and young men, ages 14 to 19, who have committed juvenile and adult criminal offenses.
