$1.2 million safety grant awarded to Jackson Township
Jackson Township has been approved to receive a $1.2 million grant for road safety related projects near Route 19. Announced in a press release Tuesday by Rep. Jim Marshall and Rep. Elder Vogel, the grant supports two township projects, including the installation of a traffic signal and turning lanes at the entrance of Northgate Plaza shopping center on the east side of Route 19.
The release also said the township will use a portion of the grant to install a pedestrian bridge over Scholar's Run to provide safer access to the township's Reservoir Park and shopping centers on Route 19 for residents in Harmony borough and other township neighborhoods.
