Man gets prison in city shooting
Family agrees to 15-30 year sentence
A Brackenridge man will go to state prison for shooting a man to death two years ago at a Wick Street apartment complex.
David J. “Dae Dae” Franklin, 22, pleaded guilty in September to third-degree homicide Tuesday, admitting to killing Rashaan Khalil “Smoke” Adams on March 16, 2017, in the city.
Investigators said the shooting was the result of an argument between Franklin and Adams. Franklin accused Adams of stealing $900 from him.
