FORD CITY, Armstrong County — A high-speed car chase Sunday that briefly entered Butler County led to the arrest of one man on kidnapping charges.

Kirk Edward Heath of Cranberry, Venango County, faces 19 charges — including kidnapping, drug possession, fleeing police and reckless endangerment — after state police said he led them on a chase from East Deer in Allegheny County to Ford City in Armstrong County, exceeding speeds of 120 miles an hour.

The chase started when Cpl. Jeremy Bowser attempted to pull over the 43-year-old because the left brake light on the vehicle Heath was driving was faulty, according police reports.
