An unidentified man was sent to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after a tree fell on his car as he was driving on Dinnerbell Road.

JEFFERSON TWP — A man was sent to the hospital after a tree fell on his car as he was driving.

The driver, whose name and age were not released, was travelling west on Dinnerbell Road Wednesday afternoon when a tree fell and hit his car.

The impact stopped the car and trapped the man inside.

Saxonburg firefighters were on scene about five to six minutes after the accident.

Firefighters said it took another five minutes or so to free the man from the crushed car.
