ConnectWork on Main under new ownership
A Butler business that encourages collaboration has changed hands.
Gael Gilliland, who lives in Center Township, bought ConnectWork on Main, which is on the second floor of the Holly Pointe building, 220 S. Main St.
ConnectWork is a co-working space, at which those who work remotely or independently share office space.
Gilliland, who has been a member of ConnectWork since it began, purchased the business from Kenny Bonus of Butler.
“She has always been an active member of Connect Work and has the ability to continue and grow the co-working space,” Bonus said.
He said he plans to continue his membership at the space.
“I'm really looking forward to all of the great things that Gael has in store for ConnectWork on Main,” Bonus said.Gilliland said she will be nondiscriminatory, but selective, when adding to the space's community. She plans to discontinue the option of offering day rates for people who use the space for a few days at a time, and would maintain a lower cost option for infrequent users. She said she plans to add a podcasting booth and a photography and video studio later.“I'm hoping it will be a place where people can see that collaborations can happen,” Gilliland said.
