UPDATE: Missing Slippery Rock man found

Frederick Greiner of Slippery Rock Township, was reported missing and is the subject of state police search.

UPDATE: UPDATE: Police have found a missing Slippery Rock man. He was unharmed when he showed up at the Slippery Rock Police Department in the borough around 6:30 p.m Thursday.

State police are asking the public's help in finding a missing 68-year-old northern Butler County man who suffers from dementia.

Frederick Greiner was last seen at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at his home in the 700 block of Kiester Road in Slippery Rock Township.

Police said Greiner has early stages of dementia and is unfamiliar with the area, as he only moved to Slippery Rock in November. He previously lived in Ridgway, Elk County.

Greiner lives with his wife, who reported him missing about 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

He is described as white, 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing about 175 pounds. He has gray hair, a mustache, goatee and a pierced left ear. He should be wearing eyeglasses.

He was last wearing blue jeans, a green and yellow plaid Carhartt jacket, a green tossle cap and brown boots.
