Noah’s Event Center closes in Cranberry

Eagle Staff Report

Couples, schools and nonprofits across the region were left scrambling this weekend after two local event and wedding venues were among several nationwide that shuttered their doors without notice.

On Friday, Noah’s Event Venue closed its facilities across the country — including two in the Pittsburgh area — one of which is in Cranberry Township.

KDKA in Pittsburgh reported this weekend that couples affected by the closure were informed via text about the company’s decision to close.

Headquartered in Utah, a United States Bankruptcy Court filing from May lists Noah’s Event Venue liabilities between $10 million and 50 million.

It names the Cranberry location, as well as another in Southpointe, among those impacted by the bankruptcy filing.

Since the news broke Friday about the sudden closure, several local wedding venues have stepped up to offer services for stranded couples, prom committees, nonprofits and corporations.

According to the company’s website, there are more than 30 Noah’s Event Venues nationwide in more than 20 states.

Media outlets across the country report sudden closures in several states — including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Kansas and Iowa.

The company’s Facebook page has been taken down and no information or explanation about the closure is available on the company’s website.
