Mars, South Butler students square off in science contest
Students from two county school districts will compete in the upcoming U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science’s National Science Bowl.
Mars Area and South Butler County school districts will send teams to the regional competition, where four students from each district will face off in a fast-paced question-and-answer format.
The winners will move on to the national competition from April 30 to May 4 in Washington, D.C.
Each year, the National Science Bowl draws more than 14,700 middle- and high-school students for the initial competitions.
More than 305,000 students have competed in the NSB since its inception in 1991.
