Two senior care facilities sold in Saxonburg

Kelly Waldman, new owner of Elmcroft personal care home, now named Magnolia Place in Saxonburg.

SAXONBURG — Two senior care facilities are now under the direction of a pair of family members long known for helping residents in their golden years.

Elmcroft of Saxonburg at 100 Bella Court is now owned by Kelly Waldman and has been renamed Magnolia Place.

Saxony Health Center at 223 Pittsburgh Street was purchased by her father, Hal Waldman, and is now known by two names. The Orchards of Saxonburg houses those needing skilled nursing care and Seasons of Saxony those with memory issues or who need daily personal assistance with daily tasks like bathing and medical management.

Magnolia Place, Kelly Waldman said, offers 64 beds in the personal care section and 20 beds in Magnolia Village, which is the memory care unit.

The sale was completed on Thursday, and Kelly and her staff are working around the clock to provide a seamless transition to the residents.
