March 2 — Zachery V. Everetts, 22, of Butler was charged with having marijuana and other contraband stemming from an incident last month at an apartment on the 200 block of East Brady Street. Police said the defendant was at the home where county juvenile probation officers had gone Feb. 28 to check on one of their probations.In the apartment, according to court documents, was a clear bag of suspected marijuana and contraband including eight glass smoking pipes, three water bongs and a scale. Everetts claimed ownership of the items, police said.He is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

5:20 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Dawn N. Holter, 28, of Meadville, Crawford County struck another car while making a lane change on Interstate 79 north in Jackson Township. The collision forced the other driver, Nesa N. Smith, 26, of Pittsburgh, into a guardrail.Smith's car then traveled across the median and into the southbound lanes before ending partially in the slow lane facing north. Holter's car ended in the median one the left side of the northbound lanes.Police said Smith told troopers that she may have suffered injuries, and she was taken by private vehicle to an unknown hospital. Her car had to be towed. Holter was cited for careless driving, according to a police report.7:48 a.m. Thursday — Three people were hurt when Andrew W. Ealy, 39, of Parker lost control of his pickup truck on ice and struck an embankment on Route 268 just east of the North Country National Country Scenic Trail in Parker Township. The pickup overturned on its side.Apparent minor injuries were suffered by Ealy's passengers, Mitzy S. Ealy, 34, Y-Lynn Shaffer, 52, and Michael L. Shaffer, 50, all of Butler. All three were taken to Clarion Hospital, police said.8:03 a.m. Thursday—A two-vehicle wreck left three people injured in Slippery Rock Township. The crash happened on Route 173 and Applewood Lane when a sport utility vehicle driven by John A. Hicks, 83, of Slippery Rock collided with a car driven by Matthew D. Fischer, 40, of Grove City.Both drivers and Hicks' passenger, Judith F. Hicks, 79, of Slippery Rock, suffered unknown injuries. John Hicks was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Fischer and Judith Hicks were taken by ambulance to Grove City Medical Center.Noon Wednesday — A 15-year-old boy from Delaware County was found with suspected marijuana at the Summit Academy reform school on Herman Road in Summit Township. Police did not release the boy's name.8:51 a.m. Wednesday — An Ellwood City teenager was serious injured when the car he was driving slid sideways into a utility pole along Route 488 in Portersville. Jeremy M. Streckeisen, 19, was ejected from the driver's side door, which was ripped off in the wreck.Streckeisen was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh. His condition was not available. The Portersville-Muddy Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.4:35 p.m. Tuesday — Two people were hurt in a three-vehicle crash on Route 108 at Barron Road in Worth Township. The wreck happened when a car driven by Samantha P. Sholler, 19, of Harrisville struck the back of an SUV driven by Jamie A. Leise, 47, of Slippery Rock.Following the collision, police said, the car traveled into the opposing lane and struck another SUV driven by Jarett D. Fritz, 27, of New Castle. Fritz was taken to Grove City Medical Center with moderate injuries. Sholler suffered apparent minor injuries.The car and Fritz's vehicle had to be towed. According to a police report, Sholler was cited for following too closely to another vehicle.3:17 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Jade L. Angerett, 19, of Butler rear-ended another car on Herman Road east of Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township. Clara J. Fundark, 70, of Butler was the other driver. No injuries were reported but both cars had to be towed.6:21 a.m. Tuesday — Deidra L. Cumberland, 31, of Butler lost control of her car and struck a utility pole along Sunset Drive just east of Route 8 in Center Township. The car became struck on an embankment and the pole.Cumberland was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries to the neck and arm. Her car had to be towed. The Unionville Volunteer Fire Department, he township's road department and a CenturyLink crew assisted at the scene.5:06 a.m. Tuesday — Paul E. Swiatek, 73, of Parker lost control of his pickup on Route 38 just south of Ball Lane in Concord Township, hitting a guardrail and a tree before ending over an embankment.1:08 a.m. March 2—Elizabeth Monaco, 38, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop at East Wayne and South McKean streets in Butler.
