Sheetz eliminates self-serve
Sheetz convenience stores announced they have eliminated self-serve coffee and beverages as well as the availability of bakery items to help stem the spread of the coronavirus.
Coffee is now available by ordering through the touch screens or by customers asking an employee to serve them.
Self-serve beverages like fountain drinks, fresh brewed tea, frozen drinks and F'Real milkshakes have also been suspended, according to a news release.
Sheetz also has temporarily suspended offering items in the bakery section, like donuts and muffins.
“Sheetz is doing everything we can to prioritize the health and wellbeing of our team members, customers and the communities we serve as the situation around COVID-19 continues to evolved,” said Travis Sheetz, president and COO.
There are several Sheetz locations in and around Butler County.
