With Butler County moving to the yellow phase of coronavirus precautions, the Butler County Family YMCA Association announced Friday it will reopen child care programs.

Childcare centers, located within the YMCA's North Washington Street facility, and His Kids Christian School on Saxonburg Road, will reopen May 26.

Butler and South Butler Day Camps will reopen June 8.

“With so many unknown factors, the Y's leadership stresses the program will look different from before the facility's closure in mid-March,” Christina Dreher, YMCA development specialist, said in the news release issued Friday by the organization.

The changes were not specified in the news release and Dreher was unavailable for comment.

The childcare centers are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and have been operating since September 1985.
