MSA adds 20,000 foot building to Cranberry campus
CRANBERRY TWP — Mine Safety Appliances is expanding its manufacturing footprint in Cranberry Woods.
Adding a 20,000-square-foot building to its 320-acre campus that contains its corporate headquarters, research and development laboratories and equipment manufacturing sites, MSA will use the one-story building to manufacture gas detection products. The campus was most recently renovated in 2010, when the headquarters were added to the building.
Despite advances in technology that have made manufacturing more space-efficient, Nish Vartanian, MSA chairman, president and CEO, said the building has become cramped for its manufacturing processes with the addition of new products.
