COVID UDPATE 7/13: County has 32 new COVID cases
Butler County saw 32 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 over the weekend bringing the total to 389 Monday.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health also reported the county had 40 new probable cases, raising the overall total 429. A total of 8,568 people have tested negative.
Butler Health System reported that as of Monday Butler Memorial Hospital had six COVID patients — four with suspected cases, two with confirmed cases and one patient in intensive care. Clarion Hospital had one patient with a confirmed case.
As of Sunday, 11,053 tests were conducted at BMH including 4,258 at its outdoor facility and 276 tests were positive.
At Clarion Hospital, 2,155 tests were conducted as of Sunday with 1,526 tests conducted at its outdoor facility and 62 tests were positive.
No new deaths were reported in the county, but the seven deaths reported across the state bring the total to 6,911.
Statewide, 328 new positive cases were reported, bringing the total to 95,742.
In surrounding counties, Allegheny County reported 4,842 confirmed and 191 probable cases, 197 deaths and 74,752 negative tests; Armstrong County reported 86 confirmed cases, six deaths and 2,688 negative tests; Beaver County reported 820 confirmed cases, 25 probable cases, 79 deaths and 8,077 negative tests; Clarion County reported 59 new cases, four probable cases, two deaths and 1,308 negative tests; Lawrence County reported 172 confirmed cases, 25 probable cases, nine deaths and 3,645 negative tests; Mercer County reported 152 new cases, 23 probable cases, six deaths and 5,483 negative tests; Venango County reported 25 new cases, 13 probable cases, no deaths and 1,830 negative tests; Westmoreland County reported 982 new cases, 28 probable cases, 39 deaths and 22,322 negative tests.
