Fire crews are at the scene of a fire at a house on the 900 block of South Clearfield Road in Clearfield Township.

The fire was reported about 7:40 a.m. Sunday.

Homeowner Mark Koebler II had taken his girlfriend to work and was returning home when he pulled over to let a couple fire trucks pass him. He didn't know his house was on fire until he arrived.

Koebler said he moved in about eight months ago after renovating the house.

He said a cat was inside but its fate was not immediately known.

At least a half dozen fire departments responded.
