An unidentified male was found in the Allegheny River Sunday, according to the Armstrong County Coroner's Office.

Kittanning police discovered the deceased older, white male in the river, about 200 yards north of the Allegheny Mariner restaurant, according to a statement issued by Coroner Brian Myers.

The body was found at 3 p.m. Sunday, the news release said.
